Keep a record that can be reviewed
Use one row per SKU, lot and recording period. Convert every quantity to the same base unit before recording a movement. Opening units plus received units, minus sold and other outgoing units, plus signed adjustment units, gives the closing units to check against the physical stock. Record the reason for each adjustment and do not count the same movement twice.
Before your team uses it
- Write the base unit in the SKU field or rename the quantity columns before printing.
- Do not mix different lots in one balance.
- Record damaged stock separately from sales.
- Use a physical count to investigate differences; keep the explanation with the log.
Adapt it to your process
This is a blank stock record, not a live inventory system. It does not calculate stock, determine whether an item may be sold or send expiry alerts. Use the product label and your applicable procedures for stock decisions.
